Q.  How long should I take the tea to see results?

A. Each person has their own level of toxicity. A good guideline is 4-6 weeks to see beneficial results.

Q.  What are some of the “detox” symptoms I could experience?

A. Mild nausea, diarrhea, foul smelling bowel movement, headache, achy joints, thirst, etc. Increasing your water intake will help wtih lessening these symptoms.

Q. Can I give the tea to my children or my pets?

A. Yes you can. Essiac tea is recommended for any individual, two or four legged, that could benefit from a boosted immune system and less toxins within the body.

Q. What is the dosage amount for children age 6 and above and pets?

A. 1 ounce per 50 pounds of weight.

Q. What does the tea taste like?

A. Essiac tea tastes like many herbal remedies, in that it is earthy with a mild sweetness.

Q.  Is the tea in the bottles better than the tea packets that I use to brew tea?

A. The key is the quality of the water. The Rocky Mountain spring fed water we use is superior to other water sources. When brewing the tea at home, purified or distilled water is preferable.

Q. How much tea should I take every day if I have many health challenges?

A. It is recommended to take at least 2 ounces, twice daily of the tea.

Q. What does an empty stomach mean, why should I take the tea on an empty stomach?

A. An empty stomach means that your stomach does not contain either food, or highly acidic drinks such as coffee or juice. It is recommended to take the tea 30 minutes prior to your first ingestion of your normal breakfast or 2 hours after any food or drink. It is beneficial to take the tea on an empty stomach so that your stomach and intestinal lining has the maximum chance to absorb all the nutrients within the tea. 

Q. How long can I take the tea for?

A. It is recommended to take the tea for at least 4-6 weeks before anticipating results. Our customers report experiences that vary from having a successful detox with the tea and only needing to take it occasionally, to then others needing to remain on the tea daily for a longer duration of time.

Q. Why do you use glass bottles for the bottled Essiac tea?

A. Our tea is put into the bottles when it is hot, near boiling temperature, and so to prevent any BPA’s or plastic toxins leaching into the tea we use glass.

Q. Do I have to store all of my bottles in the fridge upon receiving them?

A. No. The bottled version of our Essiac has Vitamin C in it to provide shelf life stability. Therefor you can store your unopened bottles in a cool dark place, such as your pantry, once opened they do need to be stored within a refrigerated space.

Q. Why are the bottles dark brown amber?

A. Most herbal products break down and loose efficiency when exposed to light and heat, and Essiac is no different. To protect the tea, it is bottled in a dark amber glass bottle to ensure light waves do not reach the tea as easily.

Q. Can I dilute the tea with water?

A. Yes, you can mix the tea with distilled or purified water if the taste is too strong.

Q. Can I add sugar, lemon or another flavor additive?

A. No, it is not recommended to add any additional ingredients to your dose of Essiac.

Q. Can I/how can I use the “spent” herbs from making the dried herbal tea packets?

A. There are many options for using the spent herbs. Customers report solutions from putting them into salad dressing mixes, to using them in your garden. The herbs will be well broken down and are a wonderful addition to compost.

Q. When will my order be shipped to me?

A. Orders typically go out the same business day that we receive them, unless the order is placed on a day that we are not open or a holiday. In that case it is sent the next following business day.

Q. How soon should I expect my package?

A. The shipping method depends on the product purchased, and where the order is being delivered. The companies that we work with are USPS and UPS. Typically shipping times are around a few days, or a week when shipping within the US. International deliveries can expect a longer shipping time as the items being sent are evaluated through customs and then sent along. Each country can have different wait times in regards to customs which is not within the control of the Natural Heritage Enterprises staff.

Q. I have a problem with my order, what help can I receive?

Q. Why was my tracking number not automatically sent to me when I placed an online order?

A. The current website does not send tracking numbers in an email update, but rest assured that your order was processed that same day, or the next business day. If you’d like to have the tracking number sent please reach out and we’ll be happy to provide that information.
